1. ICONSIAM
ICONSIAM (ไอคอนสยาม) has won first place in the "Magical Thailand Countdown" event multiple times, solidifying its status as a global countdown destination. For 2025, ICONSIAM is preparing a 3-day program featuring top performances by artists. Many Thai and international stars, such as ATLAS, BUS, Because of You I Shine, 4EVE, Jeff Satur, MILLI, NONT TANONT, Phi Phi Bewkin, Peck Palitchoke, PROXIE, ZeeNuNew, PIT BABE The Series, and Wei Zeming, will deliver spectacular performances.
The highlight of the ICONSIAM countdown is the world's longest firework display along the Chao Phraya River's bend, spanning a distance of 1,400 meters and covering a viewing radius of over 5 kilometers. Directed by world-class firework artist Yoshimasa Okubo from Japan, the theme "Celebrating the Everlasting Legacy of Siam" showcases the colors and beauty of Thailand’s heritage and wisdom.
The "Magical Thailand Countdown 2025" event will take place at ICONSIAM Riverside Park from December 29 to 31, 2024.
2. Central World
Another popular countdown location in Thailand is Central World, where the CentralWorld Bangkok Countdown event will be held on December 31. The event includes music and art, with colorful screens, and a countdown with fireworks to welcome the "spectacular" arrival of 2025 (Buddhist Year 2568).
3. Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)
For those looking to enhance their luck as they enter the New Year, we recommend joining the New Year prayer events held at temples across Thailand. In Bangkok, the famous Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) organizes an annual New Year’s Eve prayer ceremony.
The ceremony begins around 9:00 PM on December 31, with monks and citizens chanting prayers to bid farewell to the old year and meditate as they step into the new one. The event concludes around midnight.
4. PATTAYA (Jomtien Beach)
Pattaya, another popular countdown destination near Bangkok, will host a grand event, the PATTAYA COUNTDOWN 2025, from December 29 to 31. The event will feature performances by many famous artists, including Three Man Down, Bodyslam, Proxie, Jeff Satur, URBOYTJ, and Slot.
The New Year countdown event will begin at 5:00 PM on December 31 at Jomtien Beach in Pattaya, with a spectacular fireworks display expected to draw massive crowds to the beach.
5. Chiang Mai Royal Park
If you think Bangkok is too hot, head north to enjoy the cool breeze of Chiang Mai and join the "Amazing Chiang Mai Countdown 2025" event. The event will be held at Chiang Mai Chaloem Phrakiat Park, where you can take photos amidst a beautiful flower garden, enjoy performances by many renowned artists, and watch a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the Chiang Mai sky, ushering in 2025 with the sound of the countdown.
