Three Bangkok Restaurants Recommended by Michelin for Seven Consecutive Years

The Michelin Guide recommends Bangkok's best food every year. These 3 Thai street food spots have been recommended continuously from 2018 to 2024. If you’re in Bangkok, make sure to try them!

1. Elvis Suki (Soi Yotse)

Elvis Suki (เอลวิสสุกี้ ซอยยศเส) has been operating in Bangkok for over 40 years, with the first shop located in Soi Yotse. The other two branches continue the family’s delicious recipes. Originally named "Héchéngfā," the name was later changed to "Elvis" for easier recall by customers.

For seven consecutive years, Elvis Suki has been recommended by the Michelin Guide. It's easy to spot long lines of people waiting, mostly for the Michelin-recommended Suki (80-100 Baht). You can choose between dry or soup style, with options like chicken, seafood, pork, and more. Add vegetables, eggs, and vermicelli, then either stir-fry or cook, served in a bowl. The seafood and meat suki has tender meat and delicious flavors without any fishiness.

When eating Suki, you can't miss the dipping sauce, which is spicy enough to make your scalp tingle. Thai people enjoy it spicier for the best flavor.

Other popular dishes include Chicken Fried Kway Teow (70 Baht), Stir-fried Radish Cake (70 Baht), and Grilled Shrimp with Vermicelli (300 Baht).

The signature dish here is the Grilled Seafood, especially the Sweet Clams (200-400 Baht). They are opened, cleaned, and prepared into a perfect dish that you shouldn't miss!

2. Ann Guay Tiew Kua Gai

Guay Tiew Kua Gai is a Thai dish that many foreign tourists may not know. Simply put, it consists of chicken, eggs, and stir-fried flat rice noodles. The noodles are first fried, then combined with pan-fried chicken and stir-fried together. Some places add eggs to the mix, creating a unique snack.

At Ann Guay Tiew Kua Gai (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวคั่วไก่ แอน), they break an almost-cooked egg over the noodles, stir it in, and cook until the noodles are coated in golden egg yolk. The noodles are crispy on the outside but smooth inside, while the chicken adds flavor. This dish costs only 50 Baht, and with bacon added, it’s 60 Baht, an affordable treat! The fried noodles are crispy yet soft inside with a rich, pan-fried aroma. The chicken can be a little dry, but with the spicy sauce, it’s delicious.

In addition to chicken, other options like squid, pork, shrimp, and ham are available, elevating the flavor of this stir-fried noodle dish.

Many people also order a plate of fried chicken skin (50 Baht), which has a crispy texture and pairs perfectly with the stir-fried chicken noodles.

It’s described by food enthusiasts as having the sensation of popcorn bursting in your mouth. The pork is served with a sweet soy sauce that enhances the flavor.

They also serve the popular Pork Vermicelli Soup (ก๋วยจั๊บ), made with various pork offals (like liver, intestines, and stomach), tofu, boiled eggs, and translucent rice noodles.
